According to a recent Allstate Foundation survey, 81 percent of teens say their parents are the biggest influencers on their driving habits. At Allstate, we believe it’s critical to equip teens and parents with the knowledge and tools to become smarter drivers, which will help eliminate deadly distractions from the car.
Allstate is hosting a Safe Driving Challenge event at Neshaminy Mall tomorrow, Wednesday, August 22 at 10:00 am, to empower parents and their teens to become smarter drivers and help raise awareness of the dangers of driving distracted.
The Safe Driving Challenge event includes an advanced driver training course led by professional driving instructors demonstrating how distractions can have tragic consequences. Because teens cite their parents as their #1 driving influencers and advisors, teens and their parents will navigate their cars through the course, experiencing first-hand how distractions – such as texting, phone calls, radio changing, loud music and passengers – impair their ability to drive safely.
Parents play an important role in raising safe teen drivers. We encourage you to participate in this interactive learning event and make a family pledge to eliminate distractions from the car.
