Out of the 170 properties up for auction at Bucks County's next sheriff's sale, 14 of them are located in Bensalem Township.

The sale takes place Friday, March 8 and starts at 11 a.m. in the James Lorah Auditorium, located at 132 North Main St. in Doylestown.

According to the Bucks County website, there is a minimum total bid amount for each home that must be exceeded by your bid to purchase the property. If you're the successful bidder, you must pay 10 percent of the bid in cash or by check at the auction and pay the remaining balance within 10 days of the sale. The

How to decipher the document:

• "Adjourned to" and the date means the auction has been postponed.
• "Off" means the home will not be sold at this time but may be auctioned in later months.
• "From" and the date means that house was originally scheduled to be auctioned at a previous date but was postponed.
