It is apparent after listening to KYW1060 that the New Superintendant Dr. David Baugh is finally Breaking some Balls!

Where was the previous Superintendant Bill Gretzula, word is he was made aware of the situation seems he may have worked with some republican politicians to keep sweep things under the rug. Ohhh wait lets reward him and make him a principal!

Finally we are cleaning things up....

Way to go, Robert M! Someone had to start the unsupported, ignorant, biased BS and make it political to boot.
Keep in mind folks: It was the POLICE who conducted this probe, not the superintendent.

Robert ... Amen my friend... Where were the other regimes for 10 years what a travesty...

As for your commment Mr. Monaco... More is to come according to reports and HELLO, what the police just decide to check into missing items and phantom employees? It had to start somewhere and it appears according to reports it was the superintendant ... But frankly I do not care where it started, I want people to be held accountable wherever the investigation leads!

Vic defending your buddy again I see... WOW... Does it ever end? And you speak of ignorance is that what the former superintendant is claiming...

Jeffery it sounds like we are on the same page... The children could have had more program in the schools and or maybe our taxes may not have needed to increase. Either way its a travesty that Jack Myers and his fellow conspirators took from the youth of our community.

Looks like we caught Jeffery K trying to use muliple accounts and FAILING.

How about we give everyone their rights and let them have a fair trial before convicting them. There is nothing like an internet anonymity fueled lynch mob to bring out the idiots.

It wouldn't mater which party if a single party hadn't been in control for 20 years. When a single party, Democrats or Republicans run things for that long, this is inevitable. This happens to be Republicans, but we have seen similar results in place like Bristol and Philly with Dems. When this happens, voters need to take action and shake things up. This is an election year, and I encourage Bensalem voters to take a hard look at the candidates and consider electing people from more than one party who can help play the role of watchdog.

I am livid, and have written a letter to the Mayor!!!! We struggle to pay our taxes, and then they are increased. And now, we find out we have been robbed. This is awful news for the residents of Bensalem.

CK., your local school district is funded by an antiqued funding system that dates back to the 1830's whereupon your school board is granted the authority to levy a School Property Tax on homeowners, renters [because a portion of their rent goes to pay this tax through the property owner], and commercial property owners. In Pennsylvania, your school board collects 75-80% of what their yearly expenses are directly from property owners. The remaining 20-25% is paid by all taxpayers via the state legislature and governor's office.
.........................
Anytime a property owner does NOT pay the School Property Tax, the school board, via the county tax office, can seize the property. Property owners are actually paying rent to the school board forever.
................
I belong to a group of over a 1,000 property owners trying to get rid of the tax altogether. You can help by joining us [for free] and telling your senator(s) and representative(s) to vote FOR HB/SB76 .

The horribly irresponsible and dangerous bad behavior of these school employees and the lack of notice by the previous superintendent, current school administration, until a citizen blew the whistle, is just more evidence HB/SB76 needs to be done ASAP.
School board levying a School Property Tax on property owners to fund the vast majority of school district spending dates back to the 1830's.
About ten years ago, our Pennsylvania state legislature figured out, how-to abolish the school board's authority to seize your home for non-payment of the school tax and completely eliminate, not merely rebate, refund, abate, reduce, or exempt part of the school property tax, shifting the funding away from the comparatively limited budgets and mostly fixed incomes of property owners into the pockets of everyone in the state who can afford to buy non-essential goods and services and by increasing the earned income tax from the current 3.1% to 4 or 5%. The net gain to the average Pennsylvania property owner is almost $300./month more in your pocket to buy some of those non-essential goods and services, or to pay off a loan sooner, or to buy better food to feed your family, $300./month to buy better health insurance, remodel or just fix something, etc. Pennsylvania HB/SB76 abolishes your school board's authority to take your house away from you. Property owners and therefore renters, no longer have to pay "rent" to the school board.
