Bucks County Rides for Heroes Tomorrow

The 6th annual Ride for Heroes starts and ends in Bensalem on Saturday, Oct. 13.

The 6th annual Bucks County Ride for Heroes will commence tomorrow at 11 a.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

The Ride for Heroes, escorted by the Bensalem Township Motor Patrol, is a poker style run that starts and ends at the Bensalem Municipal Complex. During the ride motorcyclists will cover approximately 65 miles through upper Bucks County, with one stop in Solebury.

“This year we anticipate over 500 motorcycles will attend this event,” a release stated.

The ride benefits the Bucks County Hero Scholarship Fund, which was established to render financial and educational assistance to the surviving spouse and children who are left with little or no support, when a law enforcement officer, firefighter or emergency medical person loses his/her life or is totally and permanently disabled in the line of duty.
