Business Expo at Parx Saturday

Come out to see some great local businesses.

The Bensalem Business Association’s first annual expo is being held tomorrow Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Parx East.

“BUY LOCAL is a major calling card for so many small communities, but in Bensalem with over 60,000 residents and over 2,600 businesses, here it can be done,” said BBA President Pondeli Hajioannou.

The first 50 people to attend the expo will receive a shopping bag filled with goodies. There will also be a raffle with a grand prize of a Parx Casino “Day at the Races for 4 people.”

Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo and state Sen. Robert “Tommy” Tomlinson will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. to mark the BBA’s first expo.

The business expo will include tables for about 40 area businesses, including:

There will be free parking and free admission to the Expo.

The BBA was created by local business owners who recognize that working together would only increase their networking options and their potential business growth.

Times are hard and business owners are looking for good people to hire. Anywhere you can go with a group of owners to network with is a plus. Take your resume and pass it out and talk to owners, they might not be hiring but they might know someone who is.Now saying this does not invite you to crash a BBA meeting. The Expo that was open to public would have been good. So look for other ones that the public is welcomed and good luck.
