Car Hits Pedestrian on I-95
A woman walking along an I-95 on ramp in Bensalem was struck by a car’s side mirror.
It was nearly 7 p.m. Dec. 28 when a 38-year-old Philadelphia woman decided to walk along the southbound lane on I-95 at Tennis Avenue in Bensalem, according to State Police.
“Interstate I-95 prohibits pedestrians from entering the highway, and there are clearly marked signs signaling no pedestrians to enter at the on ramps,” the report states.
When a car came down the southbound lane and passed the woman, the driver’s side mirror struck her right arm. The car stopped a few yards away. The driver was not charged, but the pedestrian was cited for walking on a highway and was taken to Torresdale Hospital.
The above information was supplied by the Pa. State Police. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
