Council Names Kisselback President for 2013

At Monday's reorganization meeting, Ed Kisselback was appointed president, and several other changes in leadership were made.

Bensalem Township Council reorganized for the 2013 year at Monday night's meeting.

The 2012 council president and vice president swapped places for 2013. Ed Kisselback was appointed president while Joseph Knowles was appointed as vice president.

Council member Tony Belfied replaced Joseph Pilieri as the council's secretary. Pilieri and John Mathieu remain members of the council.

Additionally, the council announced its bi-monthly meeting schedule for 2013, and named the Bucks County Courier Times as its media choice for legal advertising again. Advertising will also be posted on the municipal building doors.

The council also approved mayoral appointments for advisory boards and committees, such as the Drug and Alcohol Advisory Council, Parks & Recreation Board, the Veterans Affairs Advisory Board and more.

The mayor and council members congratulated one another on their appointments as well as the volunteers who will be serving on the boards and committees.

"I want to thank everybody who volunteers for these committees," Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo said. "It's important for Bensalem Township."

The next council meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 14 at the Municipal Building, located at 2400 Byberry Rd., at 7:30 p.m.

It's like a game of volleyball, ROTATE, and the same people move around. Of course, the top two are always the ones not up for re-election so the others can appear less responsible if something controversial needs to be enacted on an orchestrated 3-2 vote, giving the 2 most vulnerable members something they can point to.
