Got Unused, Unneeded, Expired Medication? Get Rid of It Saturday
There is a countywide drug take-back program on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 43 locations including two Bensalem CVS stores.
Do you have old prescription pills in your medicine cabinet that you don’t need anymore?
If so, you’ll be able to get rid of it this weekend.
There is a countywide drug take-back program on Saturday, Sept. 29. There are 43 dropoff locations throughout the county including two in Bensalem – CVS stores at 3943 Hulmeville Road and 3811 Neshaminy Blvd.

The program is free and anonymous.
You can drop your medications off between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
According to a release, 70 percent of people who abuse prescription pain relievers get them from friends or relatives and one in five high school students have abused prescription drugs. Also, the EPA has detected pharmaceutical drugs in our water supply.
At the drop-off locations, accepted products include prescription and over-the-counter solid medications, liquid medications, inhalers, creams, ointments, nasal sprays and pet medications.
Products not accepted include intravenous solutions, injectables, needles and illicit substances such as marijuana and methamphetamine.
