Patch Poll: Best Bakery
When your sweet tooth is calling for baked goodies, how do you answer?
Where do you like to get your pastries, cupcakes or donuts?
That’s the topic of this week’s Readers’ Choice Patch Poll.
There are plenty of options in Bensalem. You can vote for: Fritz's Bakery, H.F. Hornberger's Bakery, Irene's Bakery & Gourmet, Krispy Kreme, Dunkin' Donuts, Panera Bread or Indian Hut Curry & Cakes. If we missed your favorite spot, vote for “none of these” and let us know in the comments section below and we’ll try to add it to the poll.
Vote for your favorite in the poll below by 9 a.m. Friday and don't forget to click on the links above and rate the business on its Patch Place listing. You can even leave a review.
In the event of a tie on our survey, we will break the tie by counting the positive comments written below about the tied businesses, so please let us know why you think your choice is best.

Like most poll participants I voted for Frtiz's as the best of those listed. Their cinnamon buns, which is I believe how they started, are the best I've ever had, Buttercake is mostly a sloppy mess--thin cake and "liquified" butter. Golden Eagle Diner sells a great buttercake (only available Fridays I think). I believe the best overall bakery is Cramer's (not sure of spelling) in Yardley--good buttercake and just about everything else. Stocks in Philly is outstanding. Their cream donuts and pound cake are to die for. Dunkin' Donuts, since they went to zero-trans fat and however else they modified their donut recipe several years ago to placate the weight-watcher crowd, is just plain garbage and not worth even calories they still have. Their coffee is still my favorite, but I no longer ever buy a donut.

I love Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
