Philly Man Charged with Sex Assault, Kidnapping
Victim was his estranged wife.
After a 36 hour manhunt, Bensalem and Philadelphia police along with local FBI agents arrested Dennis Pipkin, 28, of the 300 block of Loudon Street, Philadelphia for assault, kidnapping and sexual assault.
The victim was his estranged wife.
Police said the incident began on Sunday evening when the victim was assaulted by Pipkin and an unknown male as she was getting out of her vehicle to go to work. She was then forced into her vehicle, tied up and taken to motel in Bensalem where she was sexually assaulted.
According to police, Pipkin threatened the victim with a stun gun and box cutter. Afterwards the victim was tied up in a vehicle, while Pipkin contemplated what he was going to do with her, eventually dropped her off near her home and fled.
A manhunt ensued over the next 36 hours. Police said Pipkin refused to reveal his location and would not call police. A coordinated detail was set up resulting in Pipkin being taking into custody at the McDonalds located at 21st and Lehigh in Philadelphia.
According to police, Pipkin has been stalking the victim for a period of time and is awaiting trial on another case where he carjacked the victim at gun point.
Pipkin has been detained in Philadelphia on warrants. Police said a detainer warrant has been placed on him from the Bensalem charges. He will be arraigned at a later date.
The second male was not involved in the sexual assault and only took part in the original assault. Police are asking for him to contact the Bensalem Special Victims Unit at 215-633-3687
