UPDATE: Four Charged in Major Drug Operation

Suspects from New York and Canada were arrested on drug charges and held on $10 million bail.

PhillyBurbs is reporting that four men were arrested in a drug bust yesterday on Bristol Pike.

Those arrested included:

  • Jose R. Reyes, 28, of Bronx, N.Y.
  • Martinez Leovigildo, of College Point, N.Y.
  • Hector Rodriguez, 28, of Copiague, N.Y.
  • Robert Kalbarczyk, 46, of Quebec, Canada

They were held on $10 million bail each, according to PhillyBurbs.

Authorities said 280,000 ecstasy pills and $1 million cash were seized.

Last night, Bensalem police confirmed "an in-depth investigation is currently underway, however due to the sensitivity and seriousness, we are not releasing any further details at this time."

This confirmation was related to requests for information about a PhillyBurbs report that federal officers and local police seized several vehicles containing drugs on Wednesday.

According to the PhillyBurbs report, three unidentified people were arrested in the 2600 block of Bristol Pike in the area of Bound Beverages and Daley's Service Center.

A story on 6abc said SWAT was part of the arrest and DEA and ICE were part of the investigation.

Sgt. Andrew Anisman said in an email that more information would be released to media "once the investigation has removed officers from potential danger."

I wonder why did they mention Bounds, in the 2500 block of Bristol Pike when there are several other stores in the strip located right on 2600, where the aressts were made?

Hey Matthew: I mentioned Bounds because it is a landmark I associate with the area. I have since updated the story to include Daley's because that is more accurately where the incident happened. Thanks.

Thanks Joe. I guess I say that since I seem to recall a drug incident of the past sveral years in another store located in the strip of 2600 bristol Pike? I am wondering if the same store is connected with this?
