I actually find what Bensalem Police are doing to be helpful & is one of the first articles I read on Patch. I have a 16-year old & it's good to know what's going on & crimes in our area since I don't subscribe to our local newspaper. Patch also does a great job of emphasizing what Bensalem has to offer.

I think the crime stats in the paper are important. Everyone hates Philly due to crime stats etc., so let the truth be told. Even so, a great deal of Bensalem crime is never reported anyway!

Matthew,
That is a pretty bold statement about "a great deal of Bensalem crime is never reported anyway!" Do you have facts to substantiate that statement?

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I receive regular incident reports from Bensalem police and local State Police. I agree that it's important to inform the public about these police matters. But I also try to cover important business, school and community news as well. If you have a story idea or news tip, email me at joe.hart@patch.com. Thanks, JH

I think its very productive because it proves we have a great police force. They are on top of their game. People should feel safe coming to Bensalem. Joe, your doing a great job with reporting both police activity and whats going on in the community.
