A Montgomery County officer from Plymouth Township was killed in the line of duty Thursday.

Bradley Fox, 34, a K9 officer and seven-year veteran of the force, was shot in the head at about 6 p.m. during a foot pursuit of an unidentified suspect in the vicinity of Conshohocken Road and Ernest Station Road, near the Schuylkill River Trail.

Patch contacted Bensalem Pubilc Safety Director Fred Harran last night for a comment regarding this incident.

"Whenever a officer is killed it hits home," Harran said. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to him family and department.  I worry each day about members of the Bensalem Township Police Department."
