Police: Stolen Jewelry Sold to Gold Buyer

Lower Southampton police are investigating stolen jewelry being sold to a gold buyer.

Lower Southampton Police are currently investigating the sale of jewelry by a 24-year-old male.

According to a police-issued press release, the subject sold jewelry to a Lower Southampton gold buyer on six separate occasions in March. The jewelry sold to the gold buyer included rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and charms in both yellow and white gold, as well as silver.

The subject that sold the jewelry, according to police, is currently employed by a house cleaning service based in Trevose. After questioning, the subject told a detective that the jewelry came from the homes he was cleaning while employed by the house cleaning service.

Police said that he has since stopped cooperating with law enforcement officials regarding identifying which of the customers’ the jewelry belonged to.

The Lower Southampton Township Police Department is seeking any customers of a house cleaning service who had a white male in his twenties in their home to clean, to contact them at 215-357-1235 and ask for the Criminal Investigation Division.
