State Police Make Seven DUI Arrests

The following arrest information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

Between June 2-10, made the following arrests:

On June 2 at 12:40 a.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on I-95 northbound at exit 37 in Bensalem. The vehicle left the roadway, struck the exit 37 sign and a guardrail before it stopped. The driver, Jayant Mehta, 50, of Plainsboro, was found to be intoxicated. He faces DUI charges. Trooper Lee Nolan investigated the incident.

On June 5 at 2:48 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Bledjan Ago, 29, of Burlington, NJ, was found to be intoxicated. He faces DUI charges in district court. Trooper Kevin Lee investigated the incident.

On June 8 at 1:49 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Miriam L. Gardner, 34, of Bensalem, was clocked at 107 mph and later found to be intoxicated. She faces DUI charges. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On June 9 at 2:07 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 northbound at milepost 37.9 in Bensalem. The driver, Shaquan L. Beale, 22, of Hamilton, NJ, was found to be intoxicated. He faces DUI charges. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On June 9 at 2:45 p.m., state police observed a vehicle stopped at a traffic light at East Lincoln Highway and Flowers Mill Road in Middletown. The driver, Victor Dela Paz Jr., 27, of Langhorne, remained stopped through two green lights. He was found to be intoxicated and faces DUI charges. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On June 9 at 9:32 p.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on I-95 southbound at milepost 42 in Middletown Township. The vehicle was found in the guide wires in the median. The driver fled the scene, but was later identified William D. Ellershaw, 41, of Bensalem. Ellershaw was located at the vehicle owner’s residence. He faces DUI charges. Trooper J. Irwin investigated the incident.

On June 10 at 2:13 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Richard T. Hanks, 30, of Bensalem, was found to be intoxicated. He faces DUI charges in district court. Trooper Brandon Horlacher investigated the incident.
