State Police Make Two DUI Arrests
The following arrest information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.
On Saturday, May 19, Trevose troopers made the following DUI arrests:
At 12:08 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound near Falls Road in Middletown. The driver, Michael Varilla, 38, of Newtown, was found to be impaired. He faces DUI charges. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.
At 2:57 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, David Pagano, 58, of Morrisville, was found to be intoxicated. He faces DUI charges in district court. Trooper Kevin Lee investigated the incident.

What do I think?
I think it is WRONG to publish the names of these men until or unless they are found guilty. Yes, the press is within their right to to this. But just cause you, Mr. Hart, have the right to publish this information, do you ever think what this could do to the jobs these guys may have or the relationships between them and others who know them? Answer me this -- WHY is the inclusion of their names of ANY importance in this article? And don't just say b/c it's public information or because you printed a disclaimer.
This is irresponsible, Mr. Hart. Would you publish the name of your son/daughter (if you have any old enough to drive) if one of them was CHARGED with DUI/DUID?

I'm sure the troopers did a field sobriety test and it sounds like they both failed. The public is entitled to know what type of peple they are.
