Subway Sued Over Sandwich Length

Two men from New Jersey have sued Subway because they say the footlong sandwiches measure less than 12 inches.

If you're headed to Subway bring your appetite—and your ruler.

That's if you pay as close attention to the size of your sandwich as two New Jersey men, who are suing the fast food chain because they say the advertised footlong sub is just shy of 12 inches.

According to NBC 10, the lawsuit was filed this week. The plantiffs, John Farley of Evesham and Charles Noah Pendrack of Ocean City, said they measured 17 Subway footlong sandwiches and all were not quite 12 inches.

The NBC 10 report goes on to say the plantiffs are seeking compensatory damages and a change in Subway's practices.

Do you think Subway's footlong sub should actually measure 12 inches? Tell us why in the comments.

I agree wholeheartedly!! But, why bother when we've already know that one can sue due to the fact that the HOT COFFEE you just bought is actually HOT!! Let's not forget that one........

Come on!!!!! Let's get real.....another frivolous lawsuit?!?! Next there's going to be a book & a movie!! The advertised length must be a nominal figure just like in the lumber yard -- a 1"X6" board is actually 3/4" by 5 1/2" Just think...now THERE'S a lawsuit that could include architects, designers, builders, suppliers, etc. Why not get imaginative?? Better yet, get a life or employ your ambitions by getting a job!! Of course, that way the notoriety is only evident at the bank on pay day.
