Sunday Night Croydon Marina Fire Called 'Suspicious'
A fire that destroyed two boats in the Croydon section of Bristol Township is being investigated as suspicious, officials say.
Authorities plan to resume their investigation into what caused two boats to catch fire at a Croydon marina late Sunday night.
Crews from the Croydon, Union and Cornwalls fire companies were dispatched to the Snug Harbor Marina on the Neshaminy Creek for a report of flames at around 11:15 p.m., Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said.
Officials found the two dry-docked boats ablaze. Special firefighting foam was used to extinguish the fire which was exacerbated by the vessels' fuel, Dippolito said.
The fire marshal said the cause of the fire is suspicious, but an investigation can not be completed until foam used to fight the fire dissipates.
The Main Avenue marina is surrounded by a wooded area and marshland. A gate blocks entrance to property.
According to a report from 6abc.com, an explosion was heard around the time the fire started.

Would not surprise me in the least. Possible insurance fraud as well.

Considering the one boat owner is flat broke, cant pay his bills and needs money to live off of, I have no doubt that it was intentional!
