Troopers Report Incidents: Trespassing, Threats, Possession, DUI
The following arrest information was supplied by state police from the Trevose station. It does not indicate a conviction.
Between June 18 and June 20, state police from the Trevose station responded to the following incidents:
On June 18 at 8:10 a.m., state police responded to an incident in the 100 block of E. Maple Avenue, Langhorne. Police said a victim observed an individual cut a chain on a locked gate at his residence. The victim and suspect had a verbal altercation and the suspect was identified by property left at the scene. Police arrested Kyle J. Newman, 29, of Langhorne, and charged him with possessing the instrument of a crime, drug possession, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Trooper Robert Richter investigated the incident.
On June 18 at 10 p.m., state police responded to Parx Casino for a reported disturbance. Police said Dennis J. Hoffman, 31, of North Wales, was leaving a poker room at Parx East when he began shouting and threatening casino security. He had to be restrained by security until police arrived. He was charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $30,000, 10 percent. Trooper William Burnett investigated the incident.
On June 19 at 4:45 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by Amgad M. Elamin, 29, of Upper Darby, at Rockhill Drive and Neshaminy Boulevard for a traffic violation. Police said Elamin had a small amount of marijuana. He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Trooper Steven R. Moyer investigated the incident.
On June 19, state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on I-95 northbound at milepost 43.5. Police said a vehicle driven by Stephen Moyer, of Trenton, left the road striking an overhead light pole and crashed into the woods. Moyer was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for medical evaluation and suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Trooper Keith Sinclair investigated the incident.
On June 20 at 1:22 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by Melony I. Levy, 31, of Levittown, on I-95 southbound at milepost 34.8 for speeding. Levy was found to be impaired. She was given a blood test, processed and released. She faces DUI charges via summons. Trooper John McIlhenney investigated the incident.
