Water Main Installation Closes Bristol Road

The closure will continue through Sept. 28 with detours over Old Lincoln Highway, Street Road and Brownsville Road.

Aqua Pennsylvania will close and detour Bristol Road between Spruce Avenue and Grove Road in Bensalem for water main installation.

According to PennDOT, the project began Monday (Sept. 10). Bristol Road will be closed weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sept. 28.

During construction, Bristol Road will be detoured over Old Lincoln Highway, Street Road and Brownsville Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

When will you make it safer for pedestrians to access the SEPT station at Neshaminy Falls? Currently one must walk with one foot in the traffic lane, under the bridge. It's quite dangerous, especially when people text or telephone while driving.
