Weather Service Issues Weekend Freeze Watch

It's going to be cold. The frigid weather could damage or kill sensitive plants.

 

 

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly issued a freeze watch for the surrounding area included Bucks and Montgomery counties.

The watch is in effect from late Friday night through Saturday morning.

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

According to the Weather Service, sensitive plants will be damaged or killed if not protected or brought indoors.

Here’s the local forecast:

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 12 to 17 mph in the afternoon.
Friday Night: Patchy frost after 3am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 33. Northwest wind 3 to 8 mph.
Saturday: Patchy frost before 9am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 58. Light and variable wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the morning.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. South wind 3 to 6 mph.
