Students Practice Spanish by Decorating Earth Day Bags

School Lane Charter School students honed their art and Spanish skills while decorating brown paper bags for Earth Day.

Giant Food Store customers in Bensalem received an Earth Day surprise, thanks to School Lane Charter School students in Ms. McCain’s Spanish class, who honed their art and Spanish skills while decorating brown paper bags for Earth Day throughout the month of April. The bags were donated by Giant Food Stores, and were returned for the stores to reuse for customers on Earth Day.

Students’ artwork on the recyclable bags ranged from supporting Earth Day initiatives to promoting a healthy food item and encouraging physical activity. Each bag was written in Spanish to help students practice what they have learned in Spanish Class.
