Bensalem Hopes to Repave Roads

The rest of the locally owned roads in Bensalem could be repaved in the next year or two.

Bensalem Township recently repaved about 50 percent of the local streets and the hope is to tackle the rest.

When the remaining work will be carried out has not yet been determined, according to Bensalem Township Council President Ed Kisselback.

"We went out and assessed what had to be done," Kisselback told Patch, adding that the plan is to "not go beyond our budgetary commitments."

Kisselback said repaving is "on the horizon" and the council hopes to carry out the work in 2014 or 2015. The specific roads to be repaved have not been determined, he said.
