Council Meeting, Free Movie, Lemonade Fundraiser: Week Ahead

Take a look at what's happening in the coming week.

  • The Bensalem Township council meets Monday night for its regular meeting. The agenda includes approving the signing of the record plan for a High Tide Restaurant, a new waterfront eatery proposed to be located on Totem Road, by the Neshaminy Creek.
  • Family friendly film The Odd Life of Timothy Green will be screened for free at the TD Bank Amphitheater Tuesday evening. The movie will begin at dusk.
  • The MOMS Club of Bensalem is hosting an Alex's Lemonade Stand fundraiser Wednesday afternoon, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Imaginationland Playground, next to the Bensalem Library on Hulmeville Road.
  • A Music Saves Lives blood drive will take place at Neshaminy Mall on 6/27, and all presenting donors will receive a FREE VIP pass for Vans Warped Tour, granting the donor access to a very special Meet & Greet! (See the event calendar for time and location info)  Donors will be able to get autographs and take photos with their favorite Warped Tour bands. 
  • It's going to heat up around Bensalem for the next few days, with the season's second heat wave hitting the area. Temperatures will hover in the 90s Monday through Wednesday, then the high 80s for the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service.
