Get Out Weekend Planner
Yes, Bensalem, we did it again. You filled our Events Calendar with so many wonderful, happening activities, we had no choice but to compile our favorites into the Get Out Weekend Planner.
While it may seem natural to flee to the Shore or some cool Pocono mountaintop for the long Fourth of July weekend, we at the Get Out Weekend Planner beg you to hesitate. Because there are events in town this weekend to battle any trip to the beach or stroll along a boardwalk. Or, because you have to work and gas prices are too high to make traveling any fun.

COUNTRY NIGHT AT THE AMPHITHEATER
Where/When: Saturday at 7pm.

Why Go: A little twang goes a long way on a summer’s eve.
Pricing: Adults $5, Seniors $2.50 and kids under 12 are free.
Where/When: St. Michael the Archangel Church, all weekend from 6pm.
Why Go: Who needs boardwalk rides when you have them in your backyard? St. Mike’s never fails to make our summer dreams come true with rides, funnel cake, and, um, well the funnel cake is really the point.
Pricing: $20 wristbands for unlimited rides and fun. Check out their website for other deals and more information.
Where/When: Best Buy, Saturday from 12pm.
Why Go: Just when you thought corporations killed the rock’n’roll stars, Best Buy came through with a great indoor summer concert series. Today five local and local-ish bands are on the lineup.
Pricing: Free. Insert high-five here.
Where/When: Tamanend Park, Monday, from 6:30pm
Why Go: Rides, children’s activities, live music on multi-stages, and greasy carnival food kick off today in Southampton on the 4th and end with a bang of a fireworks show.
Pricing: On July 4th, admission is a flat $3 rate to the carnival, concerts, and fireworks. See here for the full list of events and information on parking.
Where/When: Sesame Place, Sunday and Monday at dusk.
Why Go: After a long day at the park, head to the BBQ to fill up and dry off for the fireworks. Big Bird says the best view is from the front plaza.
