Look, Up in the Sky, It's a...Minion?

The Despicablimp has been soaring the skies over the Philadelphia region for the past few weeks.

Bensalem residents may have glimpsed something strange floating in the blue sky Thursday morning.

For the past few weeks, a big, yellow blimp has been floating around the Philadelphia region, with some sightings around Bucks County.

The aircraft, called the Despicablimp, is part of the marketing campaign promoting the summer blockbuster Despicable Me 2. After the movie cashed in more than $350 million in domestic box office, the Despicablimp's continued tour across America feels more like a victory lap than anything else.

The blimp holds a giant image of a Minion, one of the dutiful henchmen of the movie's protagonist, Gru. The airship's pilot, Allan Judd, told the Akron Beacon Journal that the blimp can travel 22 hours before refueling.

Despicable Me 2 will be available on DVD on Dec. 10.
