Mechanicsville Road Closure Starts Monday
A half-mile stretch of the road will be closed for the next three or four weeks. Local residents will be allowed access.
The Bensalem police department has advised motorists that a construction project will close a half-mile stretch of Mechanicsville Road between Galloway and Hulmeville roads.
The closure begins Monday, July 15 and will last approximately three to four weeks. Traffic will be blocked between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. while crews work on the project.
Flaggers will be stationed at each end of the closure and allow local residents only through the roadblock. Motorists will be stopped and asked for their address. If they do not live in the blocked neighborhoods, drivers will have to use the detours.
