Police Vehicle Fire Likely 'Electrical in Nature'

The fire destroyed two cars.

The investigation into what caused a Bensalem police cruiser to burst into flames is over, authorities said Thursday night.

The fire that destroyed a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria police car, an adjacent employee-owned vehicle and caused minor damage to another car has been determined to be likely "electrical in nature" and no foul play is suspected, Sgt. Andy Aninsman told Patch.

Police are shifting cars around between shifts until a replacement patrol vehicle can be procured, Aninsman said.

Bensalem police, the fire marshal and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the nighttime police car blaze.

The fire caused several rounds of ammunition to be discharged from the police vehicle, which temporarily impaired the responding officials from extinguishing the flames and moving nearby cars to safety on May 27 shortly after 9 p.m.

Sounds like Ford might have a few more recalls on their hands. That cruise control switch might be the culprit again.

Very interesting, Wendy.

Wendy. Now your an expert in vehicles. What's next. By the way what happened to your comment in the BC CT. You can't even them to post your non sense
Wendy Saddler June 16, 2012 at 04:24 PM
Hey Arref!! As usual, you make baseless and useless attacks, to cover for your master, Haman. You fail miserably to debate me in an honest and honorable fashion, so resort to this lunacy. Try looking up the links I posted online!! Better yet, GOOGLE "2010 Ford Crown Victoria recalls" That is where I found it. These are legit organizations that specialize in this area, so this isn't made up. As for the Opinion piece that was posted online earlier, ask the BCCT yourself as to why it was removed. Sounds to me like Mr. McCauley (The author of the piece) was making a valid point, and someone decided to silence/remove it.

Hey Wendy the vehicle that caught fire was2011. What does a 2010 recall have to do with that. PS ask BCct why the pulled article. Can you say public ssfety. I have asked to debate you over and over and your always a NO SHOW. As for property taxes you don't even pay ANY.

I here there is a surprise coming Wendy
Wendy Saddler June 16, 2012 at 09:02 PM
Arref: 1. Excuse me, but it was 2010!! It states this in the article. See Below: "The fire that destroyed a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria police car, an adjacent employee-owned vehicle and caused minor damage to another car has been determined to be likely "electrical in nature" and no foul play is suspected, Sgt. Andy Aninsman told Patch." Even the BCCT confirms this: "The 2010 Ford Crown Victoria patrol car was destroyed in the May 27 fire that police initially characterized as suspicious. The car was parked and not running in the police headquarters lot off Byberry Road when the fire started in the engine." 2. I have asked the BCCT, and that is NOT the answer I received. 3. as for your "request" to debate me, this is not true, as I have been to several council meetings last year, but you never once showed up to them to debate me. As a matter of fact, Joey D and council have been so intimidate that they cancelled numerous meetings. You also haven't asked to debate me until recently, and you need to meet MY terms before I will. Try revealing who you are, and I'll be more than happy to debate you. I also see a BIG surprise for you and Fred, and its one you won't like!

BTW Arref... When Will You Try to Refute These Facts: 1. Paid fire department...continues to be over budget. 2. Paid fire department...paid firefighter attacks volunteer firefighter, township covers up the incident 3. Paid fire department...more accidents in the last two years then the rest of the fire companies combined 4. Paid fire department is still in violation of township ordinance 5. Director of Public Safety continues to refuse to explain the false and inaccurate information contained in the Townships SAFER grant application 6. Director of Public Safety never interviewed the victim of the sexual harassment by one of the paid firefighters 7. The township training center continues to crumble with no plan in place to address these issues 8. The township is heading for its third straight year of deficit spending.

Just to confirm - The Bensalem police unit destroyed in the fire was a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.

Wendy your the best. You can't get anything right
Wendy Saddler June 17, 2012 at 02:52 PM
Arref, I have two news articles, plus a reporter for this online newspaper confirming EVERYTHING I said about the car that caught fire, my questions are legitimate, and based of FACTS, so what specifically am I "wrong" about?? As usual you can't answer them, because you know they're the truth. You see, that is your problem, Arref. When the truth is staring you in the face, you refuse to admit it, and take it a step further with a "Wendy your the best. You can't get anything right". You are too much of a coward to reveal yourself and debate me honorably, so why bother "debating you" at an upcoming council meeting, especially when I know you're the one that won't show, or the township officials will conveniently cancel it? Get a Clue and Some Actual Courage!!

Okay wendy I guess I should have asked this days ago what is the big deal with the car fire what is the big conspiracy there is a reason the bcc times pulled the article but as usual you can't figure it out you continue to rant and rave over the same issues and as usual you don't have a clue. By the way your fans have been requesting a new video it is long overdue
Wendy Saddler June 17, 2012 at 11:31 PM
1. I NEVER once said anything abut a "conspiracy theory" concerning the cop car fire, or the BCCT article. Why don't you ask the real author of the post as well as the newspaper why it was pulled. 2. I don't "continue to rant and rave over the same issues", and I have more of a clue than you ever will, because I TELL THE TRUTH. I have ACTUAL evidence to back up what I say. You want to see it?? I'll be happy to show you, but on MY TERMS. 3. As for the video, its ON MY TERMS, NOT YOURS.

Are you referring to my Fathers Day post? So after reading this, you think you're Sigmund Freud now?? You know NOTHING about me, and for you to even imply ANY type of mental health issue accusation my way, is nothing more than SLANDER. There's a specific reason I post this, and its got NOTHING to do with me. Try examining yourself in the mirror when you read it, and then get back to me.
