Weather Service Warns of Severe Thunderstorms

Could produce quarter-sized hail.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southeastern Bucks County.

The warning is in effect until 4:30 p.m.

According to the Weather Service, this thunderstorm is capable of producing quarter-sized hail.

This is a dangerous storm the warning stated. If you are in its path, prepare immediately for damaging winds, destructive hail and deadly cloud to ground lightning. People outside should move to a shelter preferably inside a strong building but away from windows.

Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. East wind 5 to 7 mph becoming south. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a low around 58. East wind between 5 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Occasional showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 71. East wind between 8 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
