Running of the Santas Bar Crawl, Race Takes Place Saturday

The Running of the Santas event takes place this Saturday, Dec. 10, in Philly.

Fall can be drab, so brighten up your life by getting out of dodge. Luckily, Philadelphia isn't too far away for fall fun—and our Fall in Philly feature can help guide you there.

If you feel like venturing out a little farther from home, check here for a weekly suggestion of something fun or interesting to do in the City of Brotherly Love. Whether it's a restaurant to try, a festival to attend or special museum exhibits, we'll feature something different every Thursday.

This Saturday, participate in the Running of the Santas bar crawl and run. The pub crawl kicks off at 10 a.m., followed by a pre-run party at 1 p.m., then the run at 4 p.m., and ends with a party at the Festival Pier at Penn's Landing.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., $2 beers will be available at the participating bars (PYT, Field House, Philly Sport Bar, etc.) for the pub crawl. Then everyone will head to Finnigan's Wake for the pre-run party. Guests can enjoy $3 beers and participate in the hottest Santa contest.

Promptly at 4 p.m., the race will begin at Finnigan's Wake. Runners will make their way to "The North Pole"—the Festival Pier at Penn's Landing by way of Spring Garden and Columbus Boulevard for an indoor/outdoor Santa party. Drink specials and live entertainment will be hosted by 95.7 Ben FM's Marilyn Russel.
