Bensalem Township staged several press conferences on October 29, 2013, when Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo, members of Township Council and Jim Bogan, Golf Professional at the Bensalem Township Country Club, presents grant monies to deserving sports or physical education entities within Bensalem Township.

Albert W. Bader purchased the Bensalem Township Country Club in 1984 as a private 18-hole golf course. The club became a public course in 1989. While the course enjoyed several good years, the property because the target of a possible sale to developers. In order to maintain this beautiful 140 acres of open space in the heart of Lower Bucks County, Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo and the Bensalem Township Council, worked towards the purchase of the course. These efforts proved successful in 2006, when the club became known as the Bensalem Township Country Club (BTCC). With vast improvements to both the greens and clubhouse, BTCC has become a destination.

The Albert W. Bader Foundation was established in tandem with Mar. Bader's Will. His wish was to provide funding on an annual basis to sports or sports related activities within the Bensalem community. The perpetual funding of grant monies through this foundation is a lasting testament to the love Mr. Bader had for the community.
