Check back next week for additional inspections in Patch’s Restaurant Report Card feature.

The Health Department website states the following regarding these inspections:

The information posted on this site is believed to be accurate and reliable as of the time of posting. Should you find information, which you believe to be in error, please contact us at 215-345-3318. Please remember that any inspection is a "snapshot" of the day and time of the inspection. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term cleanliness of an establishment. Also, at the time of the inspection, violations are recorded but are often corrected on the spot prior to the inspector leaving the establishment.

I say good job Joe! Pondelli, instead of bashing PATCH for printing this, why not commend them? In some states, they require the food establishment to post their "health grade" right on the front window and the window to the drive thru if they have it. Is that throwing people under the bus? No, it's something that restaurant owners and managers should be proud to display, if they are proud of how they do their job. There is a difference between a piece of equipment that isn't fixed and a serious health hazard and I believe the readers of Patch can tell the difference. I absolutely want to know if the restaurant that I'm frequenting has serious issues that could be hazardous to my health. Something as simple as a thermometer reading the wrong temperature could make many Bensalem residents that visit that restaurant sick. Pondelli, the only lazy ones in this article are the restaurant owners and managers that are not doing what they are supposed to be doing. I'd hate to see what your place looked like if you owned a restaurant.

Pondeli - there you go again with your negativity. We all know that you are the head of the Bensalem Business Association and support our businesses, but what about the residents and patrons of some of these establishments? This is a great tool to help us all avoid food poisoning. I think it's great that Joe posts these reports. It certainly helps me decide where to take my family for dinner. Great Job Joe - keep it up! And Pondilly - Do you think it time to stop being so negative?
