Council President to Speak at Business Association Meeting

Joe Knowles will speak at tomorrow's BBA meeting followed by Sen. Tommy Tomlinson next month and Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo in January.

Township Council President Joe Knowles is set to speak tomorrow at the Bensalem Business Association’s (BBA) November meeting.

“This is a great opportunity for business owners in Bensalem to hear first hand from one of our council members,” said BBA President Pondeli Hajioannou. “This and the next two meetings should be our highest attended meetings of the year.”

The meeting will be held at Pondeli’s place of business, the Philadelphia Private Gym, 2636 Bristol Pike.

Local business owners are invited to attend this meeting and consider BBA membership for only $120 annually “and for that the potential for networking is amazing,” Pondeli said.

What's next?

On Dec. 12, the BBA will have its meeting at Parx Casino and Racetrack. The guest speaker for this meeting will be state Senator Robert “Tommy” Tomlinson. Parx and Tomlinson, through his Bristol Pike funeral home, are also members of the BBA.

“This meeting will also have our annual dinner following it,” Pondeli said. “Cost to members is only $25 per person.”

The first BBA meeting of 2013 will be on Jan. 9 at Holy Family University’s Woodhaven campus. The guest speaker at this meeting will be Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo.

“I am expecting over 100 Business owners to come out for this meeting,” Pondeli said.

Pondeli thinks every Bensalem business should be a member of the BBA.

“All of our info is on our web site www.BensalemBusiness.com if you want to find out more,” he said.
