While gas prices declined in March, oil prices crept higher; both are indicators of an economic recovery, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.
The national average this week is $3.637 for a gallon, down 2.1 cents from last week.
In Bucks and Montgomery Counties, gas prices dropped another 2.6 cents a gallon to an average of $3.625. That’s 27.4 cents lower than last year’s prices.

The Pennsylvania average retail price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline is $3.653, which is 2.1 cents less than a week ago.
In Bensalem, the cheapest price for regular is $3.54 at three stations: Sunoco at 3419 Street Rd., Sunoco at 3340 Bristol Rd. and Gulf at 3585 Bristol Rd.
