Cooler weather hasn’t stopped the rise in fuel prices; gas is up an average of 2 cents across the county and more than 8 cents locally, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.
As Gulf Coast refineries have successfully restarted production after Hurricane Isaac, prices in those states have dropped. Motorists in seven states California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Oregon and Washington, however, continue to pay more than $4 a gallon.

In the Bucks and Montgomery Counties, the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is $3.898 per gallon, which is up 8.1 cents from a week ago, 24.5 cents higher than a month ago and 25.9 cents higher than a year ago.
Locally, the cheapest price for regular is $3.74 at the , 1214 Bristol Pike.
