In Pennsylvania, the average price of self-serve gasoline is nearly 28 cents higher than a month ago, according to AAA's Fuel Gauge Report.
The average price of self-serve gasoline in Pennsylvania is $3.799 per gallon up 2.6 cents from a week ago, 27.9 cents higher from a month ago and 5.6 cents higher than a year ago.
In the Philadelphia market, the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is $3.779 per gallon which is up .7 cents from a week ago, 30.5 cents higher than a month ago and 4.5 cents higher than a year ago.

The recent surge in retail gasoline prices has been driven only somewhat by rising crude oil prices and instead has been the product of refinery maintenance and issues. This has subsequently meant less gasoline being produced and fewer supplies, which has squeezed prices higher.
In Bensalem, the cheapest price for gas is $3.70 at three locations: Sunoco at 3419 Street Rd., Bensalem Travel Plaza at 2950 State Rd., and Vigilante Liberty at 1214 Bristol Pike.
