Gas Prices Jump 8 Cents in a Week

After a slight drop in the last week of July, gas prices rise about 8 cents in the first week of August. Where's the cheapest gas in Bensalem?

 

In the Bucks and Montgomery area, the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline is $3.701 per gallon, which is 7.6 cents higher than a week ago, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

In the last week of July, prices dropped about 1 cent per gallon, but the report indicates that prices for crude oil moved above $90 a barrel after a positive U.S. jobs report on Friday. More employment, means more fuel is in demand and that pushes prices higher.

The local pump prices are 26.4 cents higher than a month ago but 6.9 cents lower than a year ago.

Locally, the cheapest price for regular is $3.60 at the on Hulmeville Road.

I usually get my gas in Jersey when I'm over there. It's usually much cheaper.

The Gulf station on the corner of Bristol and Neshaminy consistently tracks the lowest local price available in lower Bucks.
