If the same inspector came into your house and inspected it you will be amazed at what they will find. The places who serve food have a much higher standard as they should. How many of the places you tossed under the bus have ever had a person get sick? Or been closed down for violations? How many have been around for decades and how many are owned by someone who has never been in a kitchen? I know it is up to us to figure it out, you is just reporting on what you found out. One day we get vote for the best of and next day we get look at all the violations of SOME food places.

Hey Pondeli...Thanks for your comments. This is a new feature we are compiling in which we link to public information available to everyone. We aren't commenting on the health department findings...only linking to their reports. We think this is valid information that local residents are interested in seeing. Thanks again for reading.

In Bensalem there are 275 businesses that are listed on Bucks County Department of Health web site that are randomly inspected. There is also at least one store that I personally know of that caters to the ethnic community that serve food and sell eatable items in open bins that should be on this list but for some odd reason they are not subject to the same treatment, and I wonder why. Same place that was caught selling BEER without a license. Yes, it is still opened they were just fined. Point being put all the info out there if you are to put any.

Standard should be across the line for everyone. Rather you speak English / American or not! And a small Mom and Pop shop that gets shut down due to health violations normally will never survive the bad reputation it gets. A large company will and does well after, like a place on street road that recently was shut down due to health violations and is doing well now. Business owners live off our reputation bad or good. If you open this door, open it up all the way and expose everyone who is breaking health violations and what this means.

Thanks again Pondeli...This will be a weekly article. The items above are those inspected from July 17-23. Next week will be July 24-30...and so on. Eventually every business is inspected.
