Local Artisans Showcase for the 7th Annual Quilt Show

, the official tourism promotion agency of Bucks County, is proud to announce the arrival of the 7th Annual Bucks County Quilt Show presented by The Quilting Academy.

Stop by the Bucks County Visitor Center in Bensalem and marvel at the craftsmanship and designs of more than 100 handmade quilts.  On display thru Sept. 26, the Visitor’s Center is showcasing Traditional, Applique, Amish, and Artistry quilts.

According to a release, the Quilt Show is free and open to the public daily.

Visitors will have the distinct pleasure to view uniquely themed quilts from winter wonderland designs and patriotic pinwheels to holiday and floral patterns.  There are also a variety of photo quilts honoring the quilter’s family and friends.  Quilts inspired by the beautiful landscapes of Bucks County can also be found amongst the collection. Brochures are available to learn about each individual quilt and the artist and inspiration behind them. 

Do you have a favorite? While visiting, be sure to vote for your favorite quilt by using the “Viewer’s Choice” Ballot provided for you at the exhibit.  Raffle tickets are also available for purchase to enter to win the featured quilt.  All proceeds will go to the American Heart Association to support research and programs to help prevent heart-related deaths. 

Don’t miss out on these unique pieces of local art! The Quilt Show is an exhibit of true talent and an old-fashioned American hobby. While visiting, be sure you browse through the “Creative Exhibit Bucks County” Exhibit and learn about the early creative geniuses that brought arts and culture to the county such as Oscar Hammerstein and Henry Mercer. Searching for a special gift? Stroll through the gift shop and bring home items unique to the area.  Come and be enriched by the great history, art, and talent of Bucks County.
