Tourism Agency Distributes $125,500 in Grants

Visit Bucks County names grant recipients.

Visit Bucks County, the official tourism promotion agency for Bucks County, is pleased to announce the Spring 2011 Tourism Grant program recipients.

The Visit Bucks County Tourism Grant was instituted in 2008 by the VBC Board of Directors to assist in the development and enhancement of not-for-profit tourism product in Bucks County. It is supported from a portion earned from the Bucks County lodging tax.

  • Bucks County Historical Society, $20,000

  • Bucks County Zoo, $3,000
  • Doylestown Historical Society, $1,000
  • Friends of the Delaware Canal, $3,000
  • Friends of Washington Crossing Historic Park, $20,000
  • Historic Fallsington, $2,000
  • Johnsville Centrifuge & Science Museum, $3,000
  • Newtown Arts Company, $2,000
  • New Hope Chamber of Commerce, $5,000
  • Pearl S Buck House, $5,000
  • Pennsbury Manor, $10,000
  • Perkasie Olde Town Association, $2,000
  • Quakertown Alive!, $2,500
  • River Road Business Alliance, $5,000
  • Warwick Township Historical Society, $2,000

After previous successful rounds that have contributed $798,000 in tourism funds, Visit Bucks County is accepting applications for the next round with a deadline of April1st. Eligible recipients are limited to non-profits or other entities located in Bucks County that are marketing partners of VBC.
