The Owls face Council Rock South with the varsity game beginning at 7 p.m. According to the school, varsity teams have hosted games at Armstrong since the 1950s. With the construction of the new physical education facility, the boy’s and girl’s basketball teams will be hosting games next year in the new facility, and no longer at Armstrong.

Starting tomorrow, the township Building and Planning Department will begin implementation of the 2009 International Property Maintenance Code, which regulates the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures, and provides standards to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation. Key components are providing a safe means of egress, preventing hazardous structural conditions, and reducing health hazards. It also provides regulations governing the condemnation of buildings and structures and the demolition of such existing structures.

5. As part of a branding program, Holy Family University unveiled a new logo yesterday. According to the university’s website, the configuration is derived from the original University seal. The shield is taken from the interior of the founding seal, and continues to symbolize the University’s enduring adherence to academic excellence. The three segments that form the base of the shield symbolize the three main tenets of the Holy Family brand promise: knowledge (intellectual growth), practice (professional growth), and formation (spiritual growth). The three crosses represent both the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary, Joseph).
