Bensalem Blvd. Closing for Emergency Water Main Repair

Aqua Pennsylvania will repair a leak, which will close parts of Bensalem Boulevard during construction.

Bensalem Boulevard will be closed at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13 so that Aqua Pennsylvania can repair a water main leak.

The emergency road closure will start just north of Flushing Road in Bensalem Township and Bensalem Boulevard will be closed from Byberry Road to Gibson Road, according to the police department and Transportation Management Association.

"Motorists traveling north on Bensalem Boulevard will have to turn left on Byberry Road while those traveling south will have to turn right onto Gibson Road," a release said. "Newport Mews Drive and Merganser Way will be one way in/one way out."

Due to the depth of the main and the size of the hole for repair, motorists coming out of Newport Mews Drive and Merganser Way will have to turn right, the release explained.

Repairs are expected to be complete by Friday, and Aqua Pennsylvania estimates that the road will be open by rush hour Friday morning.
