Weather Service Issues Severe Thunderstorm Watch

Bucks and Montgomery counties could be in the storm's path.

At 12:45 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the area including Bucks and Montgomery counties.

The watch is in effect until 8 p.m.

This Afternoon: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. South wind between 7 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 4am. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. West wind between 3 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. West wind between 6 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
