Republicans Maintain Control of School Board

The Bensalem Township School Board will remain Republican-controlled.

Three new members will join the Bensalem Township School Board in the coming year.

The faces may be new, but the ruling party remains the same. Three Republican newcomers and an incumbent won seats on the school board Tuesday, according to unofficial election results. 
 
Jason B. Harris was the top vote-getter with 3,843 votes, according to the county's unofficial results. Fellow Republicans Jennifer Ryan (3,447 votes), Kim J. Rivera (3462 votes) and Kiran Patel (3,500 votes) defeated Democrats Eric Stern (3,277 votes), Bill Nazzaro, (3,019 votes) and Peter R. Waitze (2,848 votes), according to the county's unofficial results, which were released late Tuesday.
