CASA for Children of Mercer County Volunteer Information Session

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Children of Mercer County is seeking volunteer advocates who want to make a difference in the life of a foster child. CASA volunteers are trained to be a voice for children who are in the foster care system due to abuse or neglect. These children are caught in the tangle of the legal system and need someone to speak up for them. Volunteers make recommendations to the court for the benefit of the child in terms of placement and services.

Volunteers come from all walks of life and need no special background. We provide all the training you'll need.  You must be 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, a desire to help these children, and can commit at least 18 months to a child’s case.
