Holy Family, winners of six straight games, improves to 22-20 overall and 16-8 in conference action.  With the two victories, the Tigers conclude the season with a 12-2 mark at home this season.  Philadelphia is now 19-27 overall and 9-15 in the CACC.

Holy Family totaled 20 hits on the afternoon as ten different players recorded hits.  Sophomore Kristy Tomlinson (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin Towne Charter) and freshman Alexis Daubert (Stratford, N.J./Sterling) each led the Tigers with three hits apiece.  Tomlinson was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate as she finished with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored.  Daubert (3-for-7) also had a pair of doubles and scored two runs.

In the pitching circle sophomore Sarah Chilutti (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) pitched a combined nine innings of relief in both games earning the victory in each.  Chilutti improved to 4-5 on the year as she limited Philadelphia to zero runs and five hits.  She also struck out six batters.

Game One: Holy Family 7, Philadelphia 0

In the opener the Holy Family offense gave its pitching staff all the run support it would need with a run in the first inning.  The Tigers jumped out to a 1-0 lead after Daubert drove in junior AnnMarie Dalton (Northampton, Pa./Northampton Area) with an infield hit to the shortstop.  Dalton led the inning off with a double and finished the game 2-for-4 at the plate.

Chilutti entered the game in the second inning in relief of starting pitcher Rachael Alligood (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman).  Chilutti scattered four hits in six innings of work, while striking out five to earn her third victory of the season.

Holy Family went on to score two runs in the third inning to increase its lead to 3-0.  Corrado and junior Hayley Brennan (Frankford, Del./Indian River) each recorded run scoring doubles in the inning.

Two innings later, Holy Family tacked on three more runs as the Tigers broke the game wide open.  With one out, senior Deanna Myers (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) got things going with a double to right field.  Daubert then followed with a double down the left field line as Myers scored on the play.  Two batters later, Tomlinson entered as a pinch hitter and doubled down the left field line to score Daubert to make the score 5-0.

After senior Lindsey Iden (Rushland, Pa./Council Rock North) was hit with a pitch, sophomore Kelsi Bunda (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) singled to right field to score Tomlinson as the Tigers capped the inning with a 6-0 advantage.

Holy Family scored another run in the sixth to cap its scoring at seven runs.

In the bottom of the seventh, recorded back-to-back singles by Emma Haley and senior Kacie DeMaio.  After a wild pitch and a walk, the Rams were in business with the bases loaded and one out.

Despite the threat by Philadelphia, Chilutti forced a ground ball to throw out Haley at home and then struck out the final batter to seal the shutout victory.

Game Two: Holy Family 3, Philadelphia 2

Holy Family trailed 2-0 entering the bottom half of the fourth inning as the Rams scored the game's first two runs.  The Tigers got one of those runs back in the inning after a single by Tomlinson drove in Daubert to cut Philadelphia's lead to 2-1.

Fast-forward to the sixth inning, the Tigers still trailed 2-1 but that didn't last long.  Holy Family received a clutch pinch-hit single by freshman Claudia Boggi (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) to tie the game at 2-2.  Myers, who led the inning off with a base hit to center, scored on the play.

Chilutti , who entered the game in relief for starting pitcher, junior Victoria Reuscher (Cheltenham, Pa./Little Flower HS for Girls), shutdown the Rams in the seventh to give the Tigers a chance to win the game in the final frame.

Bunda led the inning off with a single to left field as the potential winning run.  Dalton moved her over to second base with a sacrifice bunt and eventually advanced to third after a ground out by freshman Alicia Alvarado (Palmdale, Calif./Paraclete).  With two outs and the winning run in striking distance of home plate, Corrado delivered the game-winning hit to left field as Bunda scored the final run in the 3-2 victory.

Chilutti pitched three innings of relief to earn her second win on the afternoon and fourth of the season.  In three innings, she allowed only one hit, walked one and struck out one batter.  Reuscher pitched the first four innings as she scattered six hits and allowed two runs (1 earned).  She also struck out two batters.

Sophomore Andrea Schell (2-for-3) recorded a run scoring hit in the second inning for Philadelphia, while Haley drove in the Rams' second run in the fourth inning.

Sophomore Samantha Abromavage went 6.2 innings in the loss as she allowed three runs (2 earned) off nine hits.  She struck out three batters.

Holy Family is back in action on Saturday, April 27 as the Tigers close their conference schedule with a doubleheader at Post University.  Game one is slated for 1 p.m.  Holy Family will then travel to the University of Bridgeport on Sunday to close out the regular season.
