Philadelphia, Pa. - Holy Family University senior forward Dodji Freitas (Philadelphia, Pa. (Togo)//Samuel Fels) was named to the 2012 Daktronics, Inc. All-East Region Men's Soccer team as announced on Monday. The East Region all-stars are voted on by the sports information directors in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), the East Coast Conference and the Northeast-10 Conference.
This marks the first time in his career that Freitas has been honored by Daktronics as he was named to the second team.
Freitas, who earlier this postseason earned All-CACC honors for the third straight year, compiled a career season capping his four-year playing career with a 15-goal season. He finished the year tied for second in goals scored in the CACC and third in total points.
Freitas finished his career with 21 goals, five assists and 47 points.
Holy Family concluded the season with an 8-7-3 overall record and 5-5-1 in conference play. The Tigers advanced to the CACC Tournament for the first time under first-year head coach Georg Montag.
