Iden Named to CACC All-Tournament Team

Senior Lindsey Iden Named to the CACC All-Tournament Softball Team (05/06/13)

 

 

Lakewood, N.J. - Senior Lindsey Iden (Rushland, Pa./Council Rock North) was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Softball All-Tournament team as announced by the conference office at the conclusion of this year's tournament this past Saturday at the Georgian Court University Softball Fields.
 
In two games, Iden collected two extra base hits to lead the Tigers.  Iden hit a two-run double against Wilmington University and then provided the Tigers with a three-run home run versus Bloomfield College. Iden finished the tournament 2-for-5 to go along with one run and five RBI. 
 
Iden finished the season with a .265 batting average to go along with eight doubles, one triple and a career-high three home runs.  She also scored 13 runs and drove in a career-high 17 runs. 
 
Iden, a four-year starter for the Tigers, concludes her career with a .263 batting average.  She totaled 50 runs, 26 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 58 RBI during the course of her career.  In the field, Iden owns a .931 fielding percentage. Her 26 doubles are eighth most in program history.
 
Holy Family finished the year with a 24-24 overall record and a 17-9 mark in the CACC.  The 24 victories are most since the 2010 season.   The Tigers advanced to the CACC Tournament for the second straight season.
