LaRose Named CACC Rookie of the Week

New Haven, Conn. - Holy Family University women's lacrosse player Brigit LaRose (Lumberton, N.J./Holy Cross) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 10 as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
 
Holy Family started its season with a 1-2 mark after dropping its season opener to Seton Hill University, 11-6, on March 2.  The Tigers followed with a victory at Shippensburg University this past Tuesday (14-10) and capped the week with a 9-8 setback to visiting Molloy College in overtime on Saturday.
 
In her first year of collegiate action, LaRose tallied a team-best 10 goals to go along with two ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers in her first three games.
 
LaRose highlighted the start of the season with a four-goal performance at Seton Hill.  She also tallied three goals against Shippensburg and Molloy.  LaRose's ten goals this season are currently the most scored in the CACC thus far. 
 
Holy Family is back in action on Tuesday, March 12 as the Tigers travel to face East Stroudsburg University in a non-conference contest.  Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
