Senior Erin Mann Named Daktronics All-American (2nd Team) (3/22/13)

Philadelphia, Pa. - The postseason accolades continue to roll in for Holy Family University women's basketball senior center Erin Mann (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) as she was named second team Daktronics All-America as voted on by members of NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association.  This marks her first time being recognized by the D2SIDA All-America women's basketball team.

“Erin had a tremendous season,” said head coach Mark Miller.  “She played extremely well and was consistent both offensively and defensively throughout the year.  I'm very proud of her accomplishments this season as well as what we accomplished as a team.”

Mann has already been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Year as well as All-CACC first team this postseason.  In addition, Mann was selected Daktronics Most Outstanding Player in the East Region to go along with All-East Region first team honors.

Mann capped her senior year averaging a career-high 18.4 points per game, which was second most in the CACC this season.  She led the conference with a .535 shooting percentage and was tops with a career-high 90 blocks.  Furthermore, Mann finished the year sixth with 258 total rebounds.  She averaged 8.3 rebounds per game during the course of the season.  Mann also led the team with 12 double-doubles.

Mann concluded her four-year career as one of the program's all-time scorers with 1,881 career points ranking third on the all-time scoring list.  She is also fourth all-time with 916 career rebounds.  Mann is the only player in program history to score at least 1,800 points and record at least 900 rebounds in a career.  In addition, Mann is second all-time with 247 career blocks.

The three-time All-CACC selection helped lead Holy Family to its second straight conference championship after scoring a game-high 26 points in the team's 66-56 victory over Caldwell College in the CACC Championship Final.  She was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player for the second straight year.

As a result of the team's conference championship, the Tigers received an automatic bid into the NCAA Division II Tournament.  It marked Holy Family's tenth straight appearance as the Tigers made it to the East Region semifinals for the eighth consecutive year.   Holy Family finished the year with a 28-3 record.
